Other names: Dark cinnamon, Classic cinnamon
Genetics: Agouti with the chocolate gene (A-bb). The resulting colour can be quite difficult to identify if you don't know what you're looking for - basically, it looks like a cinnamon when placed next to an agouti, and like an agouti when placed next to a cinnamon. Because it is very similar to other more established colours, it's not often specifically bred for, and most likely won't be standardised.
Description: To be a warm reddish-brown colour, evenly ticked with chocolate guard hairs. Medium and shorter hairs to be banded in red. Base fur mid-grey. There shall be an even demarcation between top colour and belly colour with the belly being similar to agouti but lighter with a chocolate tint. Eyes black.
Status: This colour is not recognised in UK rat clubs, and is not likely to be. It is standardised in some US rat clubs.
